Pope absent from St Peter’s Square for third week running

For the third consecutive week, Pope Francis was unable to present Angelos prayer in person, with the Vatican published his written comments instead.

“In the past few days,” said the Vatican. The text, which was sent from the hospital room in Rome. In that, the Pope thanked the people for their prayers and thanked his medical team for his care.

He wrote, “I feel in my heart that the” blessing “hidden is within weakness, because it is specifically in these moments that we learn more than we trust in the Lord.”

“At the same time, I thank God for giving me the opportunity to participate in the body and spirit the state of many patients and suffering.”

The Catholic Pope has told all over the world that he felt “their affection and proximity.”

“I feel as if you were” pregnant “and all the people support it. Thank you all!” The text reads.

In the last update of the Vatican, Pope Francis was said to rest after a “peaceful” night.

On Sunday morning, according to the Vatican, “The Pope woke up, eating breakfast with coffee, continued to treat it and read newspapers as it usually does.”

The Pope received visitors at Jameli Hospital on Sunday – the first external visitors to the Vatican since last Monday.

Once again, the Foreign Minister of the Vatican Cardinal Parolin and his deputy, Monsignor Bena Para, who saw Pope Francis in the tenth floor hospital room. There are no details about the length of time they spent with him or what was discussed.

On Friday, the Pope suffered from a “crisis” in the second breathing, and after that he was receiving additional oxygen support – but it was not deduced.

By Saturday evening, the Vatican described his condition as stable, without a fever, not other “crises” with his breathing. He was said to be “alert” and eats naturally.

On Sunday, Angelos prayed for the Pope for peace, including in “tormented Ukraine, Palestine, Israel”, adding: “From here, the war seems more absurd.”

On Sunday, visitors to the Vatican usually gather in St. Peter’s Square to see the Pope appear in a high window in the Apostolic Palace in the official papal apartment.

However, Francis does not live there, and he chooses the simplest preparation for the hospitality house in the Vatican.
