What to look out for at the National People’s Congress

Stephen McDonnell of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) explains what to search for in the annual National Congress of the Chinese National People, which started on Wednesday.

The meeting, which lasted for a week, attends nearly 3,000 delegates of provinces, independent areas, municipalities and armed forces. They start through the decisions that have already taken behind the closed doors by party leaders.

However, the meeting indicates the priorities of the Chinese Communist Party for the next year.

It is expected that both the economy of China, its investment in high -tech, and the repercussions of US President Donald Trump are high on the agenda.
