Dozens of people in the Sudanese state of Darfur fear his death after the heavy shelling in a camp for the displaced.
The semi -military rapid support forces (RSF) attacked a crowded market in Abu Shok, a camp on the outskirts of the city of Al -Fashir, for about two hours on Tuesday evening, a local BBC local official said.
The camp is home to more than half a million displaced people and the attack on its market is the second in three days.
Chen is the last major city in Darfur under the control of the army and was under siege by RSF for about a year.
On Tuesday, Abu Shok’s attack took place most of the time. The camp residents are mostly Muslims, who are watching the holy month of Ramadan, and many were shopping in the market, preparing to break fasting for this day.
“The bombing caused several injuries, starting from light to severe.
Local health volunteers said Abu Shok was bombed by RSF on Sunday, in an attack that killed six civilians.
RSF did not comment on Sunday or Tuesday’s attack.
Since it erupted in April 2023, the war killed tens of thousands of people, forced millions of their homes and left many famine.
RSF and the army were accused of atrocities, with RSF accused of committing genocide in Darfur against non -exhibiting groups in the region.
The conflict divided the country, where the army took control of the north and the east, while RSF carries most of the Darfur region in the west and parts of the south.
In recent weeks, the army has regained parts of Khartoum and its surrounding areas of RSF.
