Garda SeiusnaTwo men were arrested after a seizure of 5 million euros (4 million pounds) of cocaine in Kilder Province.
On Wednesday, Garde (Irish Police) stopped, searched a car and residential property in the Alinwood area in Kilder and discovered nearly 72 kg of cocaine.
Men, between the ages of the 1950s and sixties, were arrested in terms of facilitating and enhancing drug distribution activities for the organized crime group.
They were charged later and was filed in front of the local Naas court on Thursday.
The assistant commissioner Angela Willis of organized and serious crime said it was “another important attack from cocaine directed to the Irish market.”
“Garda Seiwachna and our law enforcement partners are committed to targeting those who participate in a drug -related crime that leads to harm, intimidation and violence in our societies at the country level.”
