The remains of former President Jimmy Carter arrived in Washington, D.C., from his home state of Georgia on Tuesday. His remains were flown aboard Special Air Mission 39 from Dobbins Air Reserve Base to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
After a procession in vehicles, his body arrived at the US Capitol, where he will lie in state for two days.
