Video shows the moment Olympic windsurfer Bruno Lobo rescued a woman who appeared to be drowning in the sea.
The athlete was training with a new camera, while windsurfing off the coast of Sao Luis in Brazil when he heard someone shouting.
Lobo, who is also an orthopedist, helped the woman onto his back and used his kite to carry her to shore.
The woman appeared to meet her friends at the beach and exit the beach. “I just did my job” and was “in the right place at the right time,” Lobo said in a video he shot himself on Instagram.
The athlete said he wanted to use the opportunity to warn people on social media that “the sea is really very dangerous” and that “the tide can push you overboard.”
