Most Republicans supported US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance after their general class in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinsky.
Senator Lindsey Graham suggested that Zelensky should resign, adding that a quarrel on Friday had been subjected to American military support in the future for Kiev, but another Republican member accused Trump of “embracing Putin.”
Zelinski was asked to leave the White House without signing a deal with the United States, which was jointly developing the valuable Ukraine minerals.
On Saturday, Zelinski enjoyed a warmer reception by UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer in Downing Street, a day before meeting with King Charles.
The Ukrainian leader also made a call on Saturday to the United States to “stand firmly” with Kiev, adding that he was ready to sign the metal deal with Trump, but he wished to ensure specific wish.
Trump suggested that Ukraine should give up the lands of Russia to end its invasion and opened peace talks between Washington and Moscow.
The US President also warned of Russia that he would impose a high tariff and other sanctions if President Vladimir Putin fails to end the “funny” war.
Before leaving for Florida after the Oval Office clashed with Zelinski, Trump told the reporters that the Ukrainian leader was “indifferent to his hand.”
Trump said: “Either we end it or let it fight it, and if it fits it, it will not be beautiful.” “Because without us, he does not win.”
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, who was in the Breitbart News on Saturday, told Zelinski very focused on checking the facts and compared the Ukrainian leader to his “ex -girlfriend.”
“She is like his ex -girlfriend who wants to argue with everything she said nine years ago, instead of pushing the relationship forward,” Valz said.
While the Democrats said they felt terrified of confrontation with an American ally, the majority of Republicans in Washington supported Trump.
“What I saw in the Oval Office was not respected, and I do not know whether we could do business with Zelinski again,” said Senator Graham, a long -standing defender of aid in Ukraine and an external policy, where the White House left on Friday.
“The question for me is,” Is it refundable in the eyes of the Americans? “Most Americans who are witnessing what they saw today do not want Zelensky to be a commercial partner for them, including me, and I have visited Ukraine nine times since the war started.”
Senator in Alabama Tommy Tobreville published on Saturday: “The best thing that President Trump has so far has been the kick of that son of the Ukrainian wedding from WH.”
The Senator in Tennessee Bell, Hajari, posted on X: “The United States of America will not consider it a foregone.”
But other Republican members of Congress were not very excited.
Senator Alaska Lisa Morkovsky, a moderate Republican is a bit of political fork on the Trump side, published on Saturday: “I am sick on my stomach, as it seems that the administration is away from our allies and the embrace of Putin.”
Republican Mike Lawler described the meeting as “a lost opportunity for both the United States and Ukraine.”
“A bad day for America’s foreign policy.”
“Ukraine wants independence, free markets and the rule of law. It wants to be part of the West. Russia hates us and our western values. We must be clear that we are defending freedom,” he said in a statement.
Republicans did not criticize Trump or Vans directly, who first quarreled with Zelinski during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Democrats criticized the White House.
“Trump and Fans are doing the dirty Putin,” said Chuck Schumer, the minority leader of the Senate.
Senator Chris Konz said that Zelinski deserves the best.
“We owe his thanks for the leadership of a nation fighting on the front lines of democracy – not the audience he received in the White House,” as published on X.
