A prominent personality was arrested in the SBU intelligence service (SBU) on suspicion of working as a Russian customer.
The service did not call the man, who said he was the chief of staff of the Anti -Terrorism Center, but the Ukrainian media, quoting sources in SBU, says that he is Colonel Dmytro Kozyura.
Local media showed his hand -handed while arrested by Sbu Head Vasyl Maliuk.
A statement said that there were at least 14 cases at least in which the suspect, who described it as a “mouse”, collected information and transferred it to Russia. SBU said the investigation included watching sound and videos, as well as access to mobile phones and computers.
Since Russia has been widely invaded in February 2022, Ukraine has announced many of its operations to expose Russian agents on its soil.
SBU statement said that Malayuk personally participated in the suspect’s investigation and the head of the operation to arrest him.
She said that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) recruited it in Vienna in 2018. He was “surrounded” for several years and did not resume his treatment except to contact him last December.
“Thanks to the reference signals of the encrypted programs, we entered into the traitor tools – mobile devices and computers,” Malekok said in a video published on the SBU.
“We mainly lived with him, and we conducted the sound and videos.
Maliuk added that SBU was nourishing misleading information in Moscow during the investigation.
“Specist SBU continues to be prepared. Regardless of the way the enemy tries to penetrate our ranks … he will not be able to do this successfully. Because we discover them in time, document and detach them.”
