US President Donald Trump forgave 23 anti -abortion activists, including some convicts to mobilize the reproductive health clinic, employees and frightening patients.
The amnesty was part of a round of executive orders that Trump signed on Thursday, one of several in the first week of his presidency.
Trump described the condemnations as “ridiculous”, but the campaign of abortions said that this step was evidence of his opposition to abortion.
The orders came one day before the anti -abortion protesters appeared to Washington, DC, in March for life, which the president is scheduled to address through Videolink.
In 2020, Trump became the first sitting president to attend Mars personally, although George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan had grabbed him away.
JD Vance Vice President will personally attend this time.
The gathering was held in the American capital every year since 1974, that is, a year after the abortion, it has been legalized by the Roe V Wade Supreme Court.
Abortion rights were a major issue in recent presidential races, and the court canceled the ruling in 2022.
“They should not be tried. Many of them are elderly … this is a great honor to sign this. They will be very happy.”
The American media reported that one of these amnesty is Lauren Handy, the leader of the Progressive Group to combat abortion (PAAU).
In 2020, the group was convicted of storming the Washington Clinic for Reproductive Health and prohibiting access to patients and employees. The members forced their way to Surgi-Clinic, hit a nurse, and spent several hours inside.
Handy was convicted in August 2023 and was sentenced to May 2024.
Her supporters praised the amnesty, saying that the condemnation was political.
Susan President Anthony Pro Live America, Margori Denfellers, said that the demonstrators were targeting the Ministry of Justice in atmosphere of Biden and thanked Trump for “offering him immediately for his promise” for their pardon.
However, abortion rights activists said that the amnesty confirmed their belief that Trump was hostile to abortion, despite his announcement during his presidential campaign that it is up to the individual states to decide whether this practice would be allowed.
“Donald Trump has tried the campaign’s path to get both directions – he boasts in turn in the heart of Ro against Wade while he says he will not take abortion,” told Ryan Stetzinin of the National Persons Rights Rights. Reproductive freedom to the US News Agency.
“We never thought this was true, and this indicates that we were right.”
