US pauses intelligence sharing with Ukraine

The support of the future of the United States to Ukraine is further pushed, as National Security Adviser Mike Waltz confirms on Wednesday that the United States has stopped intelligence participation with Ukraine.

“We took a step back,” Al -Fals told reporters when they were asked about the commentary of the intelligence participation.

He added that the Trump administration was stopping and reviewing “all aspects of this relationship.”

French President Emmanuel Macron later announced a meeting of European army presidents in Paris next week, saying in a televised speech that France should be ready to move forward without the help of us.

“I want to believe that the United States will remain by our side, but we must be prepared if not,” said Macron..

He said that Europe in a “new era” called Macron to increase its defensive spending.

He also said that France, along with Ukraine and others, prepared a solid peace plan.

The United States has shared intelligence with Ukraine from the early stages of the full invasion of Russia in 2022.

I stopped military aid to Kiev on Monday after a dramatic collapse in relations at the Oval Office last week, when Ukraine President Volodimir Zellinsky was informed of leaving after an angry meeting with US President Donald Trump.

It is still unclear whether to stop exchanging intelligence is partial or complete, and for the time that will remain valid.

It appears that the director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, confirming the decision in an interview with Fox Business on Wednesday, saying that Trump “had a real question about whether President Zilinsky was committed to the peace process, and said,” Let’s stop, I want to give you an opportunity to think about it. “

He said that the response came quickly with Zelinski’s statement, saying he was ready for peace.

Then Ratcliffe added: “On the military front and the intelligence front, the temporary suspension that allowed this to happen, will disappear and will work on the shoulder with Ukraine.”

Waltz also suggested that a more reconciliation tone was emerging between the United States and Ukraine, adding that military suspension and intelligence participation in the near future could be raised.

He told Fox News: “I think that if we can nullify these negotiations and move towards these negotiations, and in fact, some measures to build confidence on the table, the president will take a closer look at this temporary suspension.”

He also said that he had “good conversations” with his Ukrainian counterpart on the potential negotiation site and its content, adding that there would be a movement in a “very short arrangement”.

White House journalist Caroline Levitte addressed military assistance during a press conference on Wednesday, saying that the United States had simply stopped funding.

Ukraine has relied heavily on the United States for military aid for three years since the invasion of Russia, and the decision to stop aid may have a significant impact on the war.

The cessation of intelligence support is likely to have severe consequences on the battlefield.

Information is believed to help Ukraine to understand the upcoming Moscow movements strategically and also tactically, for example providing information about Russian forces’ positions to direct and target weapons.

“It will have an immediate impact” on its ability to defend itself.

“There is no way to replace the capabilities that American intelligence can provide from our European allies,” he said.

“This is likely to inspire Russia to push more effort on its efforts to take more terrain from Ukraine and away from the negotiating table.”
